We have successfully completed our first Safe Access Fellowship 2019 Edition!

We are proud to announce that our first cohort of 20 Safe Access Fellows, representing wide range of gender and sexuality spectrum, and grass-roots community organizations, allies and healthcare providers, successfully achieved the following impact.

We are in the process of publishing a detailed report on lessons learnt and objectives achieved, but meanwhile, if you want to know more, please reach out to us at [email protected]

This is what our 2019 Fellows have to say about their learnings.

Slide 1

"Being a transman, I have faced a lot of problems in accessing health care, so I exactly knew what harm these issues do to a queer person. Safe Access Fellowship was a turning point of my life as it gave me the opportunity to help the community and bridge the gap between us and health service providers. Today, I find myself at such place where I am helping a lot of people as well as myself."

" सेफ़ एक्सेस फ़ेलोशिप के तहत शहर में स्वास्थ्य प्रदाताओं के साथ बेहतर संबंध स्थापित हुए हैं जिससे क्वीयर समुदाय को स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं आसानी से मिल सकेंगी।"

Slide 3

"This fellowship made me understand how important it is to share with doctors who we are (as part of the LGBTQ+ community) for a proper diagnoses. I was always focused on sexual health. But being part of this fellowship enabled me to have a better understanding of the overall health and well-being issues faced by the community. I am now better equipped to address community's concerns and guiding them how and where to find an affirmative service provider. "
