Hello, I’m Aarya (He/They), a B.ed student, and community facilitator based in Varanasi, India.
I’m a Aadivasi transmasculine, non-binary person, and my experiences have shaped how I understand identity, belonging, and the importance of being able to exist authentically.
I chose to become a Peer Support Provider because I believe healing and growth are often strengthened through human connection. While our stories may be different, shared experiences can remind us that we are not alone and that our feelings are valid.
For me, peer support is about walking alongside someone, not leading them. It’s about offering empathy, curiosity, and respect while trusting each person to be the expert in their own life.
After a conversation with me, I hope people leave feeling heard, respected, and a little less alone. Even if nothing changes immediately, I want them to know that their experiences matter and that they deserve compassion—including from themselves.
As a Peer Support Provider, I’ll meet you where you are. Together, we can reflect on your thoughts and feelings, explore coping strategies, identify your strengths, and, when appropriate, discuss resources or next steps that may be helpful. My hope is that you’ll leave our conversation feeling heard, supported, and more connected to your own ability to move forward.
I enjoy conversations about pets, plants, books, philosophy, psychology, gender, education, and personal growth.
I’m passionate about education, social justice, mental well-being, and creating spaces where people feel respected and heard.
