Hi, I’m Tim (they/he).
I grew up in a conservative Christian community in a gulf country, and moved to India for college and work. By day, I’m a designer, foodie, fitness enthusiast, and book hoarder. By night, I’m a film, TV, and music guzzler. Every few months, I’m a traveler.
30 years in, I’ve come into a self that is queer, neurodivergent, a little lovesick, and perpetually curious. Life has made me a firm believer in chosen families. I’m currently figuring out what it means for people, queer and otherwise, to look out for each other.
One thing I’d like you to know is there’s no playbook for being truly yourself while also being:
– Someone’s child, sibling, parent, friend, partner or acquaintance.
– A member of a disempowered community.
– Someone with deep rooted belief systems.
– A student, an employee, a volunteer, or whatever role you perform in this world.
– A survivor of bad things and a witness to good things.
Being so many things at once is sometimes a lonely experience. On days when it feels like that, I invite you to call in for a chat. I won’t have all the answers, but I will have time to listen.
