About the organisation
The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India’s first community-based organization (CBO) of self-identified gay men, MSM, Hijras, and LBT persons. HST organizes advocacy workshops for health care providers, law enforcement agencies, judiciary, legislators, Government bodies, media, and student community to sensitize them on Gay, MSM, and TG issues.
HST provides comprehensive community support services, including legal assistance, crisis management, mental health support, and nutrition counselling, ensuring holistic care and empowerment for the communities it serves.
The HIV interventions of HST are supported by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS) to provide health services to Men who have sex with men (MSM) and Transgender communities every year through Public Health Care delivery systems and its Inhouse clinics. The Humsafar Trust’s regional office in Delhi offers free counselling services for HIV and STIs, as well as support related to sexual and gender identity. PrEP medicines are available for clients at Rs. 399. PEP is not available at the Delhi office, but HST’s sexual health counsellors can help guide the client as to how they can access the same.
